A skilled workforce is essential for a competitive and prosperous industry. Ontario's postsecondary institutions are committed to providing the Mining and Mineral Development Industry with a highly skilled workforce. Within Ontario, there are nine postsecondary institutions which offer diploma and degree programs and courses that directly or indirectly support of the Mineral Industry. These institutions provide education and training in the form of apprenticeships/co-ops, diploma programs and contract training. The graduates of these programs are the future of the Mineral Industry in Ontario.
